2015 Wisconsin deer harvest reports.

The Wisconsin DNR has just released the 2015-2016 deer harvest numbers.   The report shows that the current total of whitetail deer harvested in Wisconsin this hunting season was 306,615.

The 2015 deer harvest broken down by season is the following.    Archery- 52,987  Crossbow – 34,059   Youth Hunt – 7,249  9 Day Gun Season-  201,812   Muzzleloader- 5,567  December Antlerless- 4,941

The 2015 Wisconsin deer harvest numbers are slightly up compared to the 2014 deer harvest of 304,289 deer.  222,588 by gun.  54,810 by archery.   26,891 by crossbows.

But the harvest was lower then the  4 years  prior to 2014.

In 2013 342,661 deer was harvested.  255,003 by gun.  87,628 by archery.
In 2012 368,314 deer was harvested.  274,047 by gun.  94,267 by archery.
In 2011 347,711 deer was harvested.  257,511 by gun.  90,200 by archery.
In 2010 336,871 deer was harvested.  253,038 by gun.  83,833 by archery.

The deer hunting and herd in Wisconsin looks like it is doing good and stable.
